💼 About the Role

As a Finance Business Partner/ Analyst at Protas, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting strategic decision-making through insightful financial modelling, cost analysis, and business partnering. As a small organisation in scale up phase you will have the opportunity to collaborate closely with cost centre leads, project owners, and executive teams to build budgets and models, refine forecasts, and drive value through financial insights. From supporting cutting-edge clinical trials to shaping our business development bids, you’ll be instrumental in building the financial infrastructure that underpins our growth and impact.

🎯 Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain complex financial models for consultancy, trial delivery, and growth opportunities

• Be a trusted partner to budget holders and project leads on budgeting, forecasting, cost control

• Drive cost consultancy projects – supporting bids, pricing models, and profitability analysis

• Support strategic planning through scenario analysis and financial insight generation

• Champion financial processes and controls that can scale with our growth

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimise financial performance and decision-making

💡 What You’ll Bring

You are a qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ICAEW or equivalent) with a strong background in financial modelling and cost analysis. You have advanced Excel skills and are confident working with ERP systems, reporting tools, or Clinical Trial Management Systems (CTMS). A clear and effective communicator, you can translate complex financial data into meaningful insights for non-finance stakeholders. Your commercial acumen, combined with keen attention to detail, enables you to improve the quality of our strategic decision-making.
